The concept for SoulClimbing.com was directly inspired by the bold, pioneering, spirit of the Stonemasters during the 1970's. Throughout California, this group of climbers paved a new path for later generations to follow and revolutionized the standards of climbing in the United States and beyond.

For the Stonemasters, soul seemed the epitome of their style. Be it bold free solos in Joshua tree, or legendary FA's on El Cap, there was a feeling in the world of climbing back then which we want to re-inspire in the current climbing generation.

For us, rock climbing should be about pushing one's sense of what's possible, finding your presence in mother nature, seeking true adventure, climbing less indoors and more outdoors, respecting our natural resources, and all the while encouraging others to do the same.

In order to achieve this, we strive to exhibit the best, most inspiring rock climbing photography available and hope that you will contribute yours as well. Good luck!

Thank you for being a soul climber.
Climb on.
